Lal Kantha denies rumours of a crossover

JVP MP Lal Kantha today vehemently denied the false rumours that are spreading claiming that he will join the government. Speaking to Ada Derana Lal Kantha said that by spreading such rumours the government is highlighting its bankruptcy.

Yesterday after a question from a journalist regarding the matter Minister Maitripala Sirisena gave a funny laugh and said, “I don’t know. You have to ask him.” When the journalist persisted, and said that he had information to the effect that Mr. Lal Kantha had discussions with the President, Mr. Sirisena said, “Yes, Mr. Lal Kantha telephones the President on and off,” and refrained from confirming the news.

 
 
Lal Kantha further stated that the current government has deceased politically and he had no intention whatsoever to join such a government.
